Baketik, the Peace Centre of Arantzazu, has two main objectives; 1) Within Basque society: to contribute to reconciled coexistence by helping people to deal with all kinds of conflicts (personal, family, work, social or political) on an ethical basis. 2) Focusing on and helping in forgotten conflicts and the forgotten people of those conflicts.
We want to make a contribution to social education for peace, coexistence and reconciliation. The programme is under way and initiatives are in place, so we need financial resources to fully develop and deploy the project in a stable and efficient way.
Apart from other income or funding that could be agreed specifically, the companies that collaborate with Baketik (if they wish) can appear with their logo on the different publications produced by the Centre, and also on its website. Likewise, they will also have the option of using the logo of ‘collaborating entity’ with Baketik.
They will also receive priority information on the activities of Baketik and may be consulted on strategic decisions. They will have preferential invitations and will have facilities for the use of the premises at Gandiaga Topagunea.
Collaboration with Baketik does not bring major tangible benefits, although perhaps a fair degree of satisfaction, in the form of:
-Social profitability and personal satisfaction Probably the most important effect from working with Baketik is social profitability and personal satisfaction.
…This kind of collaboration helps to make social investment of a public nature a company value, a major asset that is becoming increasingly important in advanced societies.
…Collaboration with Baketik gives the personal and ethical satisfaction of contributing to a necessary social cause, one that is of great interest and priority for young people and the generations of the future.
Basically, the money contributed to a project such as Baketik (what is money for, after all?) is... to live better and to make a better world.
