Peace Center. Ethical management of conflicts

Participate
How to participate
The project was born with the aim of creating a ‘participation community’ or, if you prefer, a ‘social base’ or network of friends and collaborators who are kept up-to-date directly about the work of the Peace Centre. If they wish, members can intervene directly (and in real time) in moulding the direction of the association through their opinions, proposals or collaboration.

The aim is that the Peace Centre of Arantzazu should facilitate communication and interaction between Baketik and all the people who are linked to the Centre, share its project aims, wish to support them or are simply interested, or who have doubts or a desire to contribute criticisms or suggestions.

This is what makes up the participation community of Baketik. Giving the Peace Centre at Arantzazu this solid social base will enrich its work, help it to be more democratic in its operation and make the choices around its focus and projects more participative.

•Objectives

The participation community of Baketik is based around the following objectives:

·Participation. Set up the Peace Centre as an institution that is open to participation by citizens on a democratic basis.
·Communication. Creating a communication network that ensures the correct reception and issuing of messages to all its members, taking advantage of the opportunities provided by new technologies.
·Autonomy.
Be able to call on a loyal and wide-ranging base of members and collaborators who receive its services and activities, so that Baketik can operate in an autonomous way.
·Self-financing.
Contribute to the independent financing of the Peace Centre, either through membership fees or a stable network of people and entities that receive/use its services and projects.
