We have set up other initiatives. All of them have a common nucleus. Development from a personal ethic based on human dignity, a commitment to peace and solidarity.

World Congress on Peace Education and a Culture of Peace 2008

The director of Baketik has been invited to form part of the organising committee for the World Congress on Peace Education and a Culture of Peace, which will take place from 9th – 12th December 2010, promoted by the Galician Seminary for Peace Education. This means the development of a model of active, positive and committed participation within the Organisational Committee of the Congress. Baketik will do this through the unique contribution of the “Asis to Arantzazu” proposal.

Associations Forum

Thanks to an initiative by the Basque governments’ human rights department, a forum for community organisations has been established based on peace education. Baketik forms part of this initiative, along with 30 organisations. Baketik is a member of the advisory board and accepts a commitment to promote this forum, along with the proposals for collaboration and concrete initiatives of the participating associations.
